VISUAL CONSULTANCY

World Vision

In 2019 Hélène became World Vision's first Roving Multimedia Correspondent. She traveled to Afghanistan, Honduras, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, Lebanon and other fragile countries to gather multimedia content for the launch of the NGO's new product, Raw Hope targeting a connected, cause-driven, millennial audience.

On the field, Hélène reported on issues such as climate change, Ebola, child marriage, gang violence etc through videos, photos, social media posts and live chats. Her work marked a sharp departure from the NGO's traditional style as she produced a raw and immersive experience, taking the audience on the journey with her rather than sticking to a more polished style.

She shot and produced 7 short topical films about the issues plaguing fragile countries (chronic conflict, weak governance, social upheaval, sudden conflicts, natural disasters, climate change and economic crisis), based on the original content gathered throughout her year across the globe and on WV’s own pre-existing footage.

WAR CHILD

In Afghanistan, ongoing conflict has left thousands of people with no financial security and limited access to food. As a result, thousands of children have no choice but to leave their education, their families and their homes in search of work.

Hélène traveled to Afghanistan with War Child to produce a visual campaign for War Child UK’s Torn from Home, dedicated to those children. She produced a series of photos and tailor-made social media videos (Facebook, Instagram) for the fundraising campaign.

APCO

This project was a collaboration with advisory and advocacy communications consultancy APCO Worldwide in 2019 to create, from start to finish, a series of short videos about Kazakhstan, aimed at a French audience. Hélène pitched and reported all 5 story ideas, then traveled to Kazakhstan for a month to film and edit the projects. The videos were published on the website of Le Figaro, France's leading newspaper.
