Hélène is an independent DoP, director, visual consultant and drone pilot covering Turkey, the Middle East, Central Asia and Africa, based in Istanbul.

As part of her work for HF Visuals, her own company, Hélène is a versatile one-woman band who films and directs short docs and visual stories for a diversity of clients. She shoots and produces topical news videos, documentary films and social media clips for a variety of international media, corporate clients and NGOs. As a talented storyteller, she collaborates with NGOs and international organisations on visual campaigns, telling the human stories behind the issues.

A certified drone pilot, Hélène has experience in documentary shooting and technical inspections.

Experience

Hélène is based in Istanbul since 2017 and can easily travel. She spent many years in Asia working as a video and multimedia journalist before moving to Turkey: she worked for the South China Morning Post in Hong Kong then moved to mainland China to work as a video journalist for the Associated Press in Beijing.
